Premio Corazón de Mujer
Corazón de Mujer Award
Corazón de Mujer Award
The Corazón de Mujer movement presents an annual award that seeks to recognize and highlight the work of personalities who work to eradicate cardiovascular disease in women. Whether through research, by promoting prevention or by disseminating information as a tool to raise awareness.
The Women’s Heart Award ceremony is held in Espacio SOLO, a unique and exclusive place in Madrid, a reference in the art world, with the presence of authorities from the health, financial, cultural and business world. A gala to achieve, among all, to give visibility to heart disease in women, to promote prevention to reduce mortality in Spain and to create a scientific committee to help optimize the lines of action of the movement.
A work of art: a major award
In the creative process of the physical form of the award, Artificial Intelligence was used in a nod to TECHNOLOGY as an essential and decisive element in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. This allowed us to emphasize the fundamental concepts of the movement such as: woman, heart, universal, scientific, valuable and caring.
The 3D prototype was executed by 6-Forest, a multidisciplinary team specialized in the creation of works of ART, and then the final award was handcrafted in bronze, a noble material that makes each work unique and weighty, as the human heart is for our movement.
II Corazón de Mujer Award
Last year’s 2023 Women’s Heart Award went to researcher and geneticist Nabila Bouatia-Naji, Director of the French Institute for Health, Basic and Medical Research and a leader in the study of genetics to understand the pathophysiology of arterial disease. Author of more than 80 publications, she is recognized for her study of genetics in women-specific cardiovascular diseases and an active advocate for greater opportunities for female leadership in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) careers.
